New Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder engine which features a SOHC setup along with electronic fuel injection. The air-cooled engine complies with BS6 emission standards. It churns out 20.8hp at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm of torque at 6,000rpm . Older, BS4 model of the Yamaha FZ 25 had a peak power of 20.9PS and 20Nm of maximum torque. The transmission here is a 5-speed unit.
The FZ 25 will be available in a Metallic Black and Racing Blue, while the FZS 25 will be offered in the dual-tone Dark Cyan, Dark Matte Blue and Metallic White colour schemes, of which, the first two feature gold-coloured alloy wheels. The BS6 FZ 25 costs Rs 15,000 more than the BS4 model.
